Mind My Marvellous Moggy is committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the UK Data Protection Act 2018. Please read this Privacy Notice to learn about your rights, the information we collect and why, and how we protect it.

 

Who are we?

Christopher Tisdall, operating under the business name Mind My Marvellous Moggy, provides an in-home Moggy care service. This Privacy Notice refers to Christopher Tisdall and to Mind My Marvellous Moggy as Mind My Marvellous Moggy, ‘we’ or ‘us’.

How do we collect personal data?

We collect personal data directly from our customers when answering queries or taking or managing a booking.  This could be collected over the phone or electronically, or via a contractual agreement we might enter into.

 

What categories of personal data do we collect?

We collect the following categories of information:

 

  1. contact details such as your name, address, phone numbers and email address;

  2. payment information from you to cover your bookings, although we don’t currently process those payments through this website;

  3. information about your Moggy such as their medication details and feeding habits;

  4. information about your home that you provide to us, such as the location of items within your home, alarm codes and dates of your absence; and

  5. third party contact details such as the vet or a family member you might want us to contact in an emergency.

 

What is our legal basis for processing your personal data?

Whenever we process your personal datan we have to have something called a “legal basis”. The different legal bases we rely on are:

 

  1. Consent - where you have told us you are happy for us to process your personal data for a specific purpose;

  2. Legitimate interests – where the processing is necessary for us to conduct our business, but not where our interests are overridden by your interests or rights;

  3. Performance of a contract – where we must process your personal data in order to be able to provide our services to you;

 

How do we use your personal data?

We use your data in the following ways:

  1. to provide our services to you;

  2. for statistical analysis and to help us understand more about our customers;

  3. to contact you in connection with your booking; and

  4. to send you marketing communications if we’re allowed to do so.

 

 

Do we share personal data with third parties?

We only share your personal data with third parties where necessary.  This would be with people working with us to deliver our services and could be to:

 

  1. professional advisers such as lawyers or insurers;

  2. any new subsequent business partner added to the business;

  3. a regulatory body such as the ICO or HMRC

 

Do we transfer your personal data outside the UK ?

No. Data will not be held or transferred outside the UK

 

What are your data protection rights?

You have a number of rights under data protection legislation which, in certain circumstances, you may be able to exercise in relation to the personal data we process about you.  These include:

  • the right to access a copy of the personal data we hold about you;

  • the right to correction of inaccurate personal data we hold about you;

  • the right to restrict our use of your personal data;

  • the right to be forgotten;

  • the right of data portability;

  • the right to object to our use of your personal data; and

  • if we rely on consent as the legal basis for processing your personal data, you may also withdraw that consent at any time.

This helps us to protect the personal data belonging to our customer against fraudulent requests.

Is my data secure?

Yes, your personal data is secure. We will always take appropriate organisational and technical measures to protect it.

 

For how long do you retain personal data?

We will keep your personal data for the purposes set out in this Privacy Notice and in accordance with the law and relevant regulations. We will never retain your personal data for longer than is necessary. In most cases, our retention period will come to an end 6 years after the end of your relationship with us.

This Privacy Notice was most recently updated in November 2022. If we make changes to it we will take steps, where necessary, to bring those changes to your attention.
